Happy Baby (Ananda Balasana) is a pose we like to incorporate during the wind down section of class unless it is relevant to the peak pose, then we can incorporate some variation of happy baby at the very beginning of class. This pose teaches students how to grab their feet and incorporate the legs close to the arms, to stretch and expand the lower back and back of the pelvis and how to bend the knees and exert hip flexion.
