If your chest press looks like this, you need to fix your form. As you can see in the bottom range of motion, my shoulder is ever so slightly rolling forward, telling me that I am no longer stretching my chest, and I’m just creating a lot of unnecessary stress on that shoulder joint. So to fix this, very simple, either use a wider hand placement, so that you can more naturally drive your elbows back in a straight line, or slightly decrease the height of seat, so that you aren’t pressing at too low of an angle, where your elbows start to move in an arc, causing your shoulders to rotate forward.
