Use this exercise to improve your ability to control your lumbar spine as it moves into extension.

1. Start on your hands and knees with a band in your hands.
2. Have it across your lower back. The band should feel tight.
3. Slowly lower your low back into extension as the band is trying to pull you down.
4. Push up into the band with your low back to return to the starting position.
