most people stack squats, leg press, lunges, extensions, curls… and wonder why they’re exhausted but not growing.
the truth is, your quads only need two movements: a leg press covers overall quad size and strength by training knee and hip extension, mainly hitting the vastus lateralis. a leg extension isolates the rectus femoris and vastus medialis, focusing on full knee extension and that tight quad contraction at the top.
doing both hits your quads completely. everything else is just overlap and fatigue.
keep it simple. focus on progressing those two.
that’s how you actually grow your legs long term.
