The hand-release push-up is a very specific and complex move… but its main component for success is: EXPLOSIVE POWER. So here’s how we train it.

Start implementing these exercises regularly into your training routine:

1️⃣ Barbell Bench Press (pause at chest) → builds the power to explode off the ground.

2️⃣ DB Floor Press → teaches lockout strength where soldiers usually fail.

3️⃣ Explosive Push-Ups (hands leave ground) → trains the exact movement standard.

⚡ Pro tip: Speed = points. The stronger and more explosive your press, the faster your reps will stack up under fatigue.
